Her brain is basically a super computer. She retains more information than most people and can multitask with more speed and tasks. The only catch to her power is that she can only multitask so much before her brain overloads and she can't handle anything else. The number of tasks she can be doing before an overload varies depending on the amount of effort going into each task and how complex they are. She can usually do 7-10 simple tasks simultaneously or 3-5 complex tasks. Memory retention is a side effect of her power, while she doesn't remember everything, she does learn quickly. |

Max was born in upstate New York to a very morally conflicted family. Her father (and his father and various other members) were a part of the police force, while other members of the family had ties to the Irish mob. Plenty of stories had flown around while she was growing up, cousin Sean getting picked up by his own father, Donny winding up in the hospital after a fight with a few Italian kids down the street. Max was in a bubble of childhood ignorance and it wasn't until she was older would she realize what her family was into. When she was twelve, her parents would divorce and her mom would move herself and Max to Long Island. While they cut off most ties with her father, they stayed in close contact with his family. Her dad would come by for birthdays and holidays but he was never very reliable, Max would come to resent him for it when she got older. She did well in school but always tended to be a little distracted, she was smart but never applied herself and her teachers told her she had "potential". The potential to do what, they never told her. When she got to high school she spent most of her time doing homework in her Uncle Kieran's bar, The Shannon Pot, while waiting for her mom to get off work at a local TV station. She'd started understanding her family a little better, seeing where the "other side" had come from. She turned 16 and started helping out her cousin Donny out with a few "little things" here and there. She'd always been good with computers and Donny was a little strapped for cash, the bank called it an "error in his favor" and let him keep it. Soon after that her uncle Kieran caught wind of what she'd managed and started hiring her on for small surveillance jobs. It wasn't long before she was running the entire technical aspect of the "family business". It caught the eye of one of their contacts in Hong Kong and he soon recruited her. Max told her mom it was a scholarship program in Hong Kong and she couldn't pass up such an opportunity, she also promised her uncle that she would keep her job with the family going while she worked out of Hong Kong. She's been living in Hong Kong for the last year, keeping up the technical end of the Donnelly's while helping 14K. To avoid completely lying to her mom, she's attending college at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. |

Max is an egotistical smart ass. She's cocky, arrogant and a loud mouth but it's all a self-defense mechanism, if someone gives her a genuine compliment she will take it to heart and blush over it for days. Her modesty is buried under years of cynicism and sarcasm but it is there. She's underhanded and has no problem going over someone's head. She'll smile to your face and call you a douchebag later. That's not to say she isn't a fun person to be around, Max is funny, charismatic and gets along with most people. Her sense of humor has a big of a morbid streak but most people find it funny. No one expects the attractive girl to come out of nowhere with a dead baby joke. She's self-conscious but tends to hide it by being self-deprecating and constantly making belitting jokes about herself. |

Max has long hair that she usually pulls back into a messy (sometimes floppy) bun. She's often seen chewing on things like pen caps, her fingernails, gum, pencils, candy (she has an oral fixation and tends to chew on things when bored or nervous). She's of an average height and weight and while she's not stunningly beautiful, she is attractive (though she wouldn't call herself that without being a joker about it). She has brown hair and blue eyes and only wears her glasses if it's absolutely neccesary (meaning "almost never"). |
